Pleased to meet you
BRINDLE is my name
I was named after the colour of my coat
Which, I guess, is my claim to fame.

I am a lazy boy
I enjoy frequent naps in the sun,
but my friend in my camp transformed me
now I bark when she does and I run.

I am an older man with broken teeth
I did not eat my carrots, it seems.
But that does not curb my appetite
No, not in my wildest dreams!

I’m not really complicated
and I don’t demand a lot.
I’d we fine with a smaller space
as long as I have my own spot.

Freedom is something I quite enjoy –
not freedom as in running away.
Freedom like choosing to do what I wish
when I wish, night and day.

I’m not naughty or angry.
I don’t growl or stare or intimidate.
You must just spend a minute with me
to enjoy the entertainment I create.

I’m a perfect family dog,
I’ll be fine with a kid or canine.
I’m not so sure about cats, maybe?
With humans I’m more than fine!
