I think I need to explain.
See, the lady who wrote this poem for me
Does not know the character behind my name.

Only after she gave my name to me
And after she made my photo composition
She decided to read up on who NED LEEDS is
and discovered he’s the supervillain.

Far from that, though,
Is this cutie pie of a dog
So please just call me NED
The hero on the block.

I have been caught
In a terrible ordeal
As a puppy I was not adopted
And adult dogs aren’t always the “ideal”.

The “ideal” for so many
Is a puppy in their arms
But me, poor old NED,
I also deserve a chance.

I’m energetic and clumsy
I came in with a broken jaw
It healed very nicely
I was tougher than I thought.

Point is this,
Please hear me out:
I’m an incredible one-of-a-kind pup
I’m a keeper, there’s no doubt!
