DENVER is my name since I came to the shelter.

I have lived a life in a home before.

But I never had what I so desperately needed:

Space to run, to play freely and love more!

So I’ve spent a long time in the shelter so far,

time I don’t regret.

I have learned a lot through the staff and dog palls.

I am growing stronger and gentler yet.

The author of my poem went to America.

There the closest big city to her town was DENVER.

She loved the place – it was big and beautiful and busy –

Then she said I make her remember…

She has big dreams for me.

She said in me she sees a gentleman.

I get along with people and dogs alike

and I am ready for adoption, just say when!
