This is our Candy the little brindle love bug with a heart just as soft as her floppy hound like ears ! Just over a year old, this small mixed-breed girl has the gentlest, puppy-like personality that can be noticed from the moment you meet her!

Candy was rescued lost and scared, picked up at the Stellenbosch square mall close to the car wash area! A few hours after arrival our kennels team went to assess her condition and entice her with some food and even in that of state of fear, she instantly bonded with our staff and volunteers who wanted to make her weekend just a bit brighter this proved to us here at the shelter that this little lady has known the love of people.

With her short, stunning brindle coat and those irresistibly long and soft ears, Candy is as much a joy to cuddle as she is to look at. She adores affection, gets along beautifully with people as well as other dogs! She is slowly learning to play and is catching on that the lead means walkies!

Despite her stay being short here at the shelter a home is the best remedy to a mending pups heart and we know Candy wishes to start her new chapter in a home!
