Stitch is one of those rare souls who finds his own way to safety. He arrived at our welfare as a very uncommon walk-in admission after being found sitting quietly in a bush in our parking lot, most likely trying to escape the harsh sun and hoping someone would notice him.
And notice him we did.

This little caramel brown cutie has the softest, fluffiest coat and the most piercing little eyes that look straight into your heart. Aside from a bit of matting when he arrived, Stitch was in wonderful condition and has clearly known care at some point in his young life.

Though he can be a little shy at first, Stitch warms up beautifully in environments where he feels safe. Once he trusts you, his gentle personality shines through. He’s a quiet boy, not the overly bouncy, chaotic type you sometimes see with new shelter arrivals. Instead, he carries himself with a calm sweetness that makes you lean in a little closer.

Stitch is excellent with other dogs and seems to have grown up around them, as he is completely unbothered and comfortable in their company. We’ve caught him many times happily playing with his camp mates and enjoying himself but when you approach, you can see it in his eyes…
He’s ready to go home.
