Meet Chenin – our little vineyard girl!
For almost a month, she danced just out of reach. We’d spot her near the shelter, always close… but never quite close enough. So we started feeding her in the vineyards, hoping she’d learn that not all humans are scary. Slowly, gently, she began to trust — and eventually, hunger led her into safety.
When we finally had her, she was absolutely covered in ticks — but incredibly, she was in great condition. All that food we’d been leaving had done its job and kept her tummy full.
And then came the real surprise: Chenin wasn’t wild at all. In fact, she’s one of the friendliest, most well-socialized dogs we’ve ever met. It’s clear she once had a home — and now, she needs another one.
Chenin has been with us for a month now and she’s SO ready to be adopted. She’s gentle, easy to walk, loves other dogs, and is absolutely obsessed with food (no shock there!). A kind soul through and through.
We named her Chenin after the vineyards where she first found hope — now help us write her next chapter.
