They named me LUDO
I had no clue though
that it’s not at all like Cluedo
But another game of “I go, you go”.
The rhymester starts to reminisce
remembering the times of utter bliss
when kids would not dare dismiss
the chance to play a game like this.
But I’m a dog, so what do I know
Of Uno, Cluedo, Ludo or even Judo?
I just smile and play
with Rosie* all day.
(*You’ll meet her soon)
I’m a lot smaller than I look
When you see me you might be shook
Because this brindle boy will steal the show
with my charm, my grace, your mind be blown.
I’m new to this shelter-thing
Like, I try to be cute and the rest I just wing.
So far it’s helped me
Because of people’s faces when it’s me that they see.
I’m an oddball, but I’m one-of-a-kind
If you think I’m not charming, you must blind?!
It’ll be nice to meet in person
Then you’ll have your own version
of what kind of doggo I must be.
I’m the kind worth adopting!
